
Heidi Watney, born May 19 1981, is an American sportscaster and reporter for Apple TV+. Her prior experience in sportscasting includes work at the University of San Diego, New England Sports Network (Boston), Time Warner Cable SportsNet (Los Angeles) and two stations in Fresno. Watney attended Clovis West High School in Fresno and participated in hurdles, diving, gymnastics and cheerleading. 1 She was a National Merit Scholar. She was accepted into the University of San Diego with an academic scholarship. In 2003 she graduated with top distinction. 2. Watney has participated in the Miss California USA pageant, in which she was the first runner-up in 2002. Watney is the mother of professional golfer Nick Watney. 7 Andy Weir claimed that he used Watney ?Ts surname in the creation of the character Mark Watney in his science fiction novel The Martian.
