Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19th, 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn into a poor family that would eventually comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the struggles of living through her vibrant and far-ranging imagination. Before learning how to read or write Dolly Parton had already begun to compose her own songs. The first guitar she received was gifted to her at the age of eighteen. She started singing at the Knoxville Tenn station by the age of 11. That same year she made her first recording on Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. Although she was in school, she had already made a name of herself in the local music scene. Her goal was to be able to play on a larger level. On the very day she was able to graduate from high school, it was 1964. Her first charting hits on Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. In the year 1967, Porter Wagoner was looking for an actress to sing for his television show that was syndicated. Parton got her first gig in 1967, signed with RCA Records by 1968, she joined the Grand Ole Opry. Parton left the show however, in 1974 because her solo albums like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene beat out their collaborative albums. Parton wrote "I will Always Be Loving You" for Wagoner just after the pair split. The track reached No. It was the first time a single was able to reach No.
