Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Half English mixed with Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. The daughter is an Argentinean who has Scottish, English and Argentinean descent. Her mother comes from Spanish and English heritage. Taylor Joy also has 4 brothers and sisters, with one coming in each parent's prior marriages. The family was in Buenos Aires until she was six then relocated to the Victoria region in London. Taylor-Joy explained the relocation was painful, and she refused to go back to school in English as she wanted to go back to Argentina. She had to switch schools to Northlands and then Hill House. After that, she went to Queen's Gate School in London, where she took ballet classes as well as participated in drama productions. After she turned 16, she dropped out of school to take on a full-time job in acting. Since her early years, Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to work as an actress. her dreams came true after she was offered an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
